Weddings

Our philosophy of shooting wedding photography is very simple; It's all about you and your day...! we are there to capture you and your guests the way you want, we don't have a list of demands or a rigid time table to stick too.... it is YOUR day after all, not ours!

Our style Wedding Photography is all about capturing the moment and following the passion of the day. We go after the moments that capture all the emotions and energy of the day in our images.

We are at our most creative when left to roam around the wedding capturing those perfect shots of you and your guests. We'll capture all the moments you may never even have noticed happening during the wedding day itself.

We will strive to capture the beauty of the whole day and that includes your guests. They are very important people in your life and, once the magic of the wedding is over, it will be the photographs of the day that you will turn to time and time again to relive those moments.

Children make for fantastic subjects at weddings, their expressions, emotions and playfulness are always natural and they always have carefree, take it as it comes attitude that  makes for great images.

With a love for natural light, whether that be in a dim church, or a bright after wedding reception party, by using the latest professional cameras we will capture the magic moments of your wedding day in exquisite detail, without the need for a distracting flash.

We don't tend to produce a long list of photos that we must capture on the day, but we do realise that most weddings have a requirement for some group shots. This is up to you, it's your day after all!

We aim to make your wedding photos a stunning pictorial memory for generations to come. Each and every wedding photograph is processed personally by James as he goes through a precise and technical post processing re-touching exercise. Every one of the selected shots is finished to an exacting standard so that you are presented with only the very best photographs of your special day. We have a full understanding of modern photographic techniques and software
, and will only produce stylish images that will shine for you and your family.

We try to shoot with wide open apertures as much as possible for the shallow depth of field, which draws the viewer's attention to the emotion in the subject of the photograph.

We also prefer shooting with all natural light as much as possible, as it preserves the natural dimensions of a moment in an image. We use both telephoto lenses and short prime lenses. The longer lenses allow us to keep our approach photo-journalistic, and this relies on "stealth" during the service and at the reception. Often, the guests won't even know we've taken a shot of them. The shorter lenses are great for capturing those unexpected moments when there is action going on all around.

We always look for angles that include other people in the image - this brings out the true story and emotion of the wedding day. For example, during the first dance, we will, where possible, try to include parents or guests in the frame to add that emotional bond to the shot; this can dramatically increases the power of a shot.

Our aim is to create wedding imagery that not only tell the story of your day, but are also a tangible reminder of the emotions, feelings and details of your very special wedding day. Our approach and style, is totally unobtrusive meaning we will not dictate or prompt or manipulate anything throughout your very special wedding day (don't worry though if you want groups shots, and portraits - we can do that too).
